A pint-size Broadway, film, and television actress and powerhouse triple threat based in NYC and LA, Sophie found her total love and passion for being on stage and on-camera when she was 4 years old. Sophie is known for her role as July in NBC Live's production of Annie. She will also be seen in the upcoming Angelyne (Peacock / NBC Universal). Described by coaches, directors, and peers as determined, passionate, hardworking, and mature beyond her years, Sophie loves every corner of the business and her directors often marvel at her professionalism and focus at such a young age.
The famous story of Sophie's first recital under the guidance of Amelia De Mayo, where Sophie insisted on staying backstage when the show was over, asking to perform again, clearly indicated her total dedication to the stage and to being an entertainer.
Laura Luc cast Sophie at age 5 as "little girl' in A Little Princess. She remembers Sophie at that age walking into the audition, stating her song and saying confidently "and this is my tempo. "Often a mascot and energy magnet throughout her shows, Sophie loves and respects her theater friends and directors. The ALP cast came up with a mantra "when in doubt Sophie it out." The "must be time now for a sweet" ALP role paved the way for her Broadway debut a few months later when she was cast as Ivanka in Once the Musical right before her sixth birthday. Joining the special Once family on Broadway and then reprising the role of Ivanka in the Equity tour was a dream come true. Sophie's biggest joys are performing in as large a theater as possible, in front of a huge audience, and famously signing autographs at the stage door. Sophie spent a year touring the USA and Canada as an original cast member with the Broadway Les Miserables tour, playing Little Cosette and Young Eponine.
Along with performing in numerous NYC shows, cabarets, and charity events, Sophie also loves on camera and commercial work. Super fun projects have been Nickelodeon's Shimmer and Shine Promos, The Dr. Oz show, a Good Morning America spot, and shooting an episode of In the Haunting Of. Sophie appeared in Hide & Seek, a SAG short written and produced by Matt Newton; and Wishful Whiskers, a short directed by Pulkit Datta. Recent big and small screen projects include playing Helene Haft in the upcoming biopic Harry Haft, directed by Barry Levinson; playing Little Girl alongside Julia Garner in the recently released The Assistant; and playing young Jaimie Alexander in NBC’s Blindspot.
When Sophie is not performing, she is busy training and competing with her USAG gymnastics team, swimming, doing arts and crafts, and playing Catan with one of her four siblings.
Sophie is proud to be represented by CESD and Zoom Talent for theatrical, television, film, and commercial. Stay tuned for more of Sophie's adventures and be sure to follow her on social media.
